What does an Area Director do? 
 
The Area Director:
  • provides contact, support, and assistance to the clubs in their Area (typically 4-6 Clubs)
  • conducts club visits at least twice a year within their area to understand how to best support and meet the needs of the clubs
  • chair Area Council meetings
  • participate in Division Council meetings
  • help facilitate cub officer training twice a year
  • coordinate Area Speech contests
  • attend District officer training, District Executive Committee meetings and the District Council meeting.
 
You serve as the liaison between the District and the clubs, keep clubs and their officers informed, offer guidance to club leaders and members, and help clubs achieve club excellence.
 
This role will provide you an opportunity to strengthen interpersonal and team-building skills as well as sharpen and develop your organizational skills.
 
The term of an Area Director is one year, starting July 1, 2025, and lasting until June 30, 2026 and required you to be a paid member of a District 83 club in good standing.
